PADANG — DT Peduli West Sumatra, in collaboration with the West Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumbar), organised a charity event to provide financial assistance for 20 orphaned children in Padang City on Friday (19 September 2025). The event was a manifestation of shared compassion between a humanitarian organisation and the police force, united in their mission to care for those in need.
The event began with a collective recitation of Surah Yasin, followed by prayers for blessings and safety for the people of West Sumatra. The atmosphere was deeply moving as the children joined in heartfelt prayers, filling the gathering with sincerity and warmth.
Following the prayer session, the West Sumatra Police Chief and representatives from DT Peduli West Sumatra symbolically handed over the financial support to the orphans. Smiles of gratitude lit up the children’s faces as they received the assistance.
In her remarks, Halimahtus Sa’diyah, Program Manager of DT Peduli West Sumatra, expressed appreciation for the strong partnership built between DT Peduli and the West Sumatra Police.
“Alhamdulillah, this event is a genuine expression of collective care for orphaned children. We hope that collaborations like this will continue to grow and bring blessings to everyone involved,” she said.
