ACEH TAMIANG — Severed road access and mud reaching nearly knee height did not deter PT Nusantara Energi Indonesia (NEI), in collaboration with DT Peduli, from delivering humanitarian assistance to flood survivors in one of the hardest-hit areas of Aceh Tamiang Regency.
On Saturday (6/12/2025), the joint team successfully distributed 50 food aid packages to residents of Tanjung Karang Village, an area that has continued to struggle to receive assistance due to extremely difficult and inaccessible terrain.
Tanjung Karang Village Secretary Muhammad Nurdin expressed his gratitude for the support provided.
“We would like to sincerely thank NEI for the assistance and for their concern for us as flood disaster victims,” he said.
The village remains blanketed in thick mud, forcing residents to carry the aid packages manually, one by one, to their homes without the use of vehicles. Despite the challenging conditions, residents welcomed the arrival of the aid distribution team with enthusiasm, having awaited assistance since the early days of the flooding.
The aid is expected to help ease the burden on flood survivors and serve as encouragement for other parties to continue supporting areas that remain in need of logistical assistance and manpower.
