OGAN ILIR, INDONESIA – Demonstrating its continued commitment to nurturing the next generation of young preachers, DT Peduli North Sumatra (Sumut) has sent two of its top students to participate in the Santri Kader Dakwah (SKD) Program at Kampoeng Tauhiid Sriwijaya Islamic Boarding School (KTS), located in Talang Pangeran Ulu Village, Pemulutan Barat District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra.

The two selected students are Raihan, an alumnus of Rumah Tahfidz Unggul Al Ikhwah, and Sakinah, a student under the care of Rumah Peduli Yatim in Pematang Siantar. They were chosen based on their academic achievements, discipline, and readiness to continue their Islamic education and da’wah training.

The official handover of the students took place on Thursday, July 25, 2025, at the pesantren (boarding school) and marked the beginning of an intensive learning journey focused on tauhiid (monotheism) and da’wah leadership.

“We hope their participation at Kampoeng Tauhiid Sriwijaya becomes a means for them to deepen their understanding of tauhiid and prepare themselves to become resilient da’i (Islamic preachers) in the future,” said Muhammad Restu Pradana, Program Manager of DT Peduli North Sumatra.

Raihan expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity:

“I’m truly thankful to DT Peduli Sumut and DT Peduli South Sumatra for being the bridge that allows us to pursue further knowledge. Inshaa Allah, we hope to bring great benefit to the community upon our return,” he said.

The SKD Program is a continuation of the previous character and tahfidz (Qur’an memorization) training held in the North Sumatra region. With a comprehensive and integrated approach, the students are expected to not only excel academically but also practice the values of da’wah in real community life.

Through this initiative, DT Peduli North Sumatra envisions its alumni to become steadfast, impactful da’wah cadres, contributing meaningfully and positively to society.
