GUNUNGKIDUL — DT Peduli Yogyakarta distributed food aid packages to 10 underprivileged elderly residents in Padukuhan Nglumbung, Giricahyo Village, Purwosari, Gunungkidul, on Monday (September 22, 2025). The DT Peduli team personally visited their homes to deliver the assistance.
The aid was warmly and emotionally received by the beneficiaries. Mbah Supardi, one of the recipients, expressed his gratitude:
“Alhamdulillah, this assistance really helps with our daily needs. Thank you for caring for us in our old age,” he said.
Another recipient, Mbah Iyem, also shared her feelings:
“It feels like I’m not alone, because there are still people who care,” she said.
Walidi, the head of Nglumbung Hamlet, expressed his appreciation:
“We are very grateful to DT Peduli. Their presence in visiting residents’ homes makes the elderly feel cared for. Hopefully, this noble initiative can continue,” he stated.
According to a representative of DT Peduli Yogyakarta, the distribution aimed not only to ease daily needs but also to bring joy and renewed spirit to the elderly.
