SUKABUMI – DT Peduli Sukabumi has distributed funds raised through its donation campaign to support the construction of a student dormitory at Pondok Pesantren At-Taufiqiyyah, located in Kampung Sunaren, Priangananjaya Village, Sukalarang District, Sukabumi Regency, on Friday (24 October 2025).
This support aims to accelerate the development of a proper, comfortable, and conducive dormitory facility for the santri (students), which will serve as both a learning environment and a place for character building.
The assistance is being disbursed gradually according to the progress of construction, managed directly by DT Peduli Sukabumi’s program team in coordination with the pesantren administration. The school leadership and management expressed deep gratitude for the donation and continuous support.
Fauzan Jaelani, Head of Pondok Pesantren At-Taufiqiyyah, emphasised that dormitory construction has become an urgent need due to the increasing number of students each year. With the support from various parties, especially DT Peduli donors, the hope is that adequate facilities can soon be realised.
“We are very grateful to DT Peduli donors for their generosity and concern. A dormitory is not merely a place to stay — it plays a vital role in shaping the students’ character and discipline. May this collaboration become an everlasting act of charity (amal jariyah) for everyone involved,” said Fauzan emotionally.
Bagus Saefullah, Sahabat Unggul of DT Peduli Sukabumi, explained that the distribution of funds is part of DT Peduli’s commitment to educational development, particularly in improving infrastructure for Islamic boarding schools that play a key role in nurturing knowledgeable and virtuous generations.
“Pesantren has a strategic role in shaping the nation’s character. That’s why DT Peduli is committed to supporting educational facility development, especially in areas that need it most. We hope this assistance will bring great benefits and help accelerate the dormitory construction process at Pondok Pesantren At-Taufiqiyyah,” he said.
Bagus also added that this initiative is part of a wider invitation for the public to join the movement of caring for santri education, whether through donations, collaboration, or moral support for Islamic educational institutions.
He further expressed hope that the dormitory would be completed soon so that students could live and study in a more decent and supportive environment. Moreover, he hoped this program would inspire others to spread goodness and contribute to the advancement of education and the nation’s youth.
