DEPOK – The Baiturrahman Islamic Study Group, located in Cinere, Depok, has donated IDR 15,500,000 to support the people of Palestine who are currently facing a severe food crisis. The donation was handed directly to DT Peduli’s Depok Service Office on Thursday (7/8/2025).
This initiative was spearheaded by Hj. Roni is one of the driving forces behind the Baiturrahman Islamic Study Group. She was moved after hearing news of the widespread hunger in Palestine and encouraged the congregation to contribute as an act of humanitarian solidarity.
“The news about famine in Palestine truly moved my heart. Alhamdulillah, our congregation responded enthusiastically, and we were able to collect a significant amount in a short time,” said Hj. Roni.
The handover ceremony took place within the Baiturrahman Islamic Study Group premises, attended by Iip, Head of DT Peduli Depok Service Office, and Rahman, Fundraising Staff at DT Peduli Depok. Both expressed deep gratitude for the compassion and sincerity shown by the congregation.
“In shaa Allah, this donation will be channeled promptly through our humanitarian programs to help provide essential food supplies and medical aid for the people of Palestine,” said Iip.
