MALANG – DT Peduli Malang, in collaboration with Turba Food, has established a Joint Business Group (Kelompok Usaha Bersama/KUBE) in Batu City, East Java, on Monday (15 September 2025). The program aims to foster economic independence and improve community welfare through the production and marketing of local products.
The group consists of 10 members from Batu City and Malang Regency. They are engaged in repackaging fruit chips using aluminium foil packaging to maintain product quality. The finished products are marketed as signature Batu souvenirs at various tourist destinations, including Pasar Apung and Museum Angkut.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the added value of local products while creating new job opportunities for members under DT Peduli’s empowerment program.
“With this initiative, the Joint Business Group is not only producing quality local products but also opening new opportunities for members to break free from economic limitations—aligned with DT Peduli’s economic empowerment mission,” said a DT Peduli representative.
DT Peduli hopes that the KUBE program will strengthen the economic capacity of local communities and contribute to Indonesia’s broader economic development.
