BOGOR — DT Peduli Bogor reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening food security and improving community livelihoods by organizing a livestock feed-making (silage) training in Bantarjaya Village on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Local farmers under DT Peduli’s guidance and residents eager to learn participated in the training to prepare healthy and nutritious animal feed.
This initiative aims to help farmers apply practical knowledge to improve feed quality, enhance food resilience, boost livestock productivity, and create better economic opportunities for communities in Rancabungur and surrounding areas.
The training featured Cecep Saepudin, an expert and successful livestock breeder who has long implemented silage feeding methods in sheep farming.
During his session, Cecep explained various types of plants suitable for silage production, their nutritional content, and shared practical tips to help farmers raise healthier and faster-growing sheep.
One of the participants, Faduloh, expressed his gratitude after attending the training. “Before this, I only relied on natural feed without any processing. Now I’ve learned how to make silage that lasts longer and has higher nutrition. I hope this knowledge helps my sheep grow healthier and faster,” he said enthusiastically.
