LUBUKLINGGAU — In a joint effort to spread light and happiness, Yayasan Baitul Maal (YBM) PLN Bengkulu and DT Peduli Lubuklinggau collaborated to deliver essential aid to underprivileged families in Bengkulu, particularly in Penurunan and Ratu Agung sub-districts, on Monday (27 October 2025).
The program included 10 educational scholarships for primary, junior, and senior high school students, food packages for low-income families, nutrition support for pregnant women and toddlers, and free electricity installations for selected households.
The event was attended by Haris, Regional Manager of PLN UPT Bengkulu, and Faris, Head of YBM PLN UPT Bengkulu.
“We’re deeply grateful for this collaboration with DT Peduli. This initiative reflects our vision to share benefits not only within our organization but also with the wider community — spreading the light of kindness,” said Haris during his remarks.
The initiative followed DT Peduli’s community assessment in Bengkulu City, which revealed that residents of the two sub-districts were among the most economically vulnerable groups in the region, as recorded by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Around 100 beneficiaries, including local government representatives and volunteers, participated in the event.
Both YBM PLN and DT Peduli teams personally handed over the aid packages, bringing enthusiasm and warmth to the beneficiaries.
“I’m truly happy to be here and contribute directly to delivering these donations to the families,” said Septi, a YBM PLN volunteer.
One of the beneficiaries, Erni, expressed her heartfelt gratitude:
“Thank you so much to YBM PLN and DT Peduli for this meaningful support. May your kindness continue to bring blessings and benefits to many others,” she said.
Through this collaboration, YBM PLN and DT Peduli reaffirm their shared commitment to empowering communities, ensuring access to education, health, and basic needs — while spreading hope and compassion across Indonesia.
