DEPOK – To celebrate the sacred month of Muharram and spread happiness to those in need, DT Peduli Depok, in collaboration with the central DT Peduli office, organized a heartwarming program called “Wisata Bahagia” (Happy Outing) on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The event took place at The Waterfall by Resto, Sawangan, Depok City, and served as a tangible manifestation of donors’ trust and generosity.

The event was led by Iip Supriatna, Head of DT Peduli Depok Office, accompanied by program officers Karyadi and Yusril from the Depok branch. Located on Jl. Cinangka Raya KM 10, Serua, Bojongsari District, the program started at 9:30 AM and was filled with warmth and joyful camaraderie.

The day began with the recitation of the Qur’an by Yusril, followed by welcoming remarks from Iip Supriatna, who emphasized the importance of gratitude and social compassion, especially during the blessed days of Muharram.

The event featured a variety of fun and educational activities designed to engage and entertain the children, including:

  • Donut-making workshop, sparking creativity and hands-on skills;
  • Mini airplane assembly, combining play with problem-solving;
  • Interactive games, fostering friendship and group bonding;
  • Reptile introduction, providing animal education and awareness;
  • Group lunch, promoting togetherness in a warm, family-like atmosphere.

The children and their families responded with heartfelt enthusiasm. Ani, a mother of one of the beneficiaries, shared her gratitude:

“I’m very thankful to DT Peduli Depok and the entire team. This event is amazing! The kids are happy, and we get to experience joy together in this blessed month.”

Smiles beamed across the children’s faces. One of the participants, Fahri, said:

“I had so much fun playing and making donuts. It was awesome!”

Another participant, Abizar, added:

“I liked the reptile session the most. I learned that not all snakes are dangerous.”

Rizky, also a participant, expressed:

“I didn’t expect to join an event like this. I’m super happy!”

The Wisata Bahagia program aims to not only bring happiness but also enrich the life experience and knowledge of children as they grow into the next generation. It also strengthens the connection between DT Peduli Depok, its generous donors, and the communities they serve.
