BANJARMASIN – A cheerful atmosphere filled Glow Supermarket on Jalan Mesjid Jami No.17, as 20 orphaned and underprivileged children participated in DT Peduli South Kalimantan’s “Joyful Shopping” program on Friday morning, July 25, 2025.
The event was part of the Muharram Care for Orphans and the Underprivileged initiative, held to welcome the blessed Islamic month of Muharram 1447 H. Children were invited to personally choose items they needed or simply enjoyed – including their favorite snacks.
“I’m really happy I got to choose for myself. I picked a snack I’ve always wanted,” said Asih, one of the participants, smiling shyly.
Accompanied by DT Peduli volunteers, the children looked enthusiastic and joyful throughout the event. The program was more than just a shopping trip – it was a moment of connection, affection, and shared happiness.
“We hope this becomes a cherished memory for the children and a reminder for all of us to continue caring for others,” said Ismawati, a volunteer from DT Peduli.
The event concluded with a group photo and heartfelt prayers, leaving behind smiles and a sense of gratitude.
