BANJARMASIN — DT Peduli South Kalimantan (Kalsel) once again organized a Scholarship Development Program at Rumah Alam Sungai Anda, Banjarmasin, on Saturday (23 August 2025). The event was enthusiastically attended by scholarship recipients.
This session carried the theme “The Art of Public Speaking,” an essential skill needed in both academic and professional settings. The material was delivered by Rahmawati, Secretariat and Finance Staff of DT Peduli Kalsel.
In her presentation, Rahmawati emphasized the importance of self-confidence, the ability to structure material effectively, and the proper use of body language when speaking in public. She also shared practical tips on overcoming nervousness and building connections with the audience.
“Public speaking is not just about words, but about making the audience feel connected and understand the message we want to deliver,” she explained.
The atmosphere was interactive, with participants allowed to practice public speaking techniques directly. Many participants expressed that they gained fresh insights and felt more motivated to continue improving their communication skills.
This activity is part of DT Peduli’s regular scholarship development program, which not only focuses on academic achievement but also on soft skills development—preparing students to excel and compete in the professional world.
