YOGYAKARTA — DT Peduli Yogyakarta organized the “Happy Shopping with Orphans” program on Sunday (September 21, 2025), involving 25 orphans from Yatim Putri Orphanage Yogyakarta and LKSA Omah Ngaji. The program gave the children the opportunity to directly choose their own needs, such as school supplies and clothing, in a joyful and cheerful atmosphere.
Fatan, one of the participants from LKSA Omah Ngaji, expressed his gratitude:
“I’m so happy to shop by myself and pick the things I like. Thank you so much, DT Peduli,” he said.
Mila, a caregiver from Yatim Putri Orphanage, Yogyakarta, highlighted the importance of the activity:
“The children feel noticed and loved. It’s not only about the excitement of shopping, but also the feeling that someone truly cares for them,” she explained.
Putri, representing the DT Peduli Yogyakarta team, emphasized that this activity reflects real care through a simple yet meaningful experience:
“We hope that the children grow up with confidence and optimism,” she stated.
The event concluded with a joint prayer, leaving the children with cherished memories and strengthening DT Peduli’s commitment to continuously spread happiness.
