BUKITTINGGI, INDONESIA — As part of its ongoing effort to maintain the quality of Qur’anic memorization and shape strong student character, the DT Peduli Sumatera Barat (West Sumatra) Qur’an Learning Center held its regular Tasmi’ Parade on Thursday–Friday, July 3–4, 2025, in its Bukittinggi branch.
During the event, each student took turns reciting their memorized verses directly in front of a panel of evaluators. The Tasmi’ session was conducted in an orderly and focused atmosphere, emphasizing discipline and consistency as essential elements in maintaining one’s Qur’anic memorization. This parade serves as a routine quality control mechanism for all students under the program.
Beyond serving as an internal evaluation, the event also acted as a form of recognition and encouragement for the students’ hard work and progress. Evaluators attentively assessed the fluency, accuracy, and consistency of each student’s recitation during their memorization journey.
“Through this Tasmi’ Parade, we aim to instill mental resilience in our students—not just in memorizing the Qur’an, but in their commitment to preserve and review their memorization consistently,” said Agus Rinaldi, mentor at DT Peduli’s Qur’an Learning Center in Bukittinggi.
The Tasmi’ Parade represents a significant milestone for every student on their journey as Qur’an memorizers. It also reinforces DT Peduli Sumbar’s vision of nurturing a Qur’anic generation that not only memorizes but also loves and lives by the values of the Qur’an in their daily lives.
