Residents of Kampung Haji Sukabumi Hold First Anniversary Celebration
SUKABUMI – A strong sense of togetherness filled Kampung Haji Sukabumi as residents held a thanksgiving celebration to mark the first anniversary of the village on Thursday (14/8/2025). The event featured the preparation of 13 traditional tumpeng (rice cone dishes) as symbols of gratitude, unity, and prayers for blessings upon all residents.
The celebration was simple yet heartfelt. It began with Qur’an recitation and communal prayers led by a local religious leader, followed by reflections on the one-year journey of Kampung Haji and the sharing of hopes for the future. The event concluded with a communal meal.
The tumpeng prepared by different community groups served as a symbol of solidarity and gratitude to Allah SWT, particularly for the permanent housing program provided by BPKH through DT Peduli. This initiative has brought positive change to the community.
Ade Tirta, Head of DT Peduli Sukabumi Service Office, expressed his appreciation for the residents’ initiative in maintaining unity and togetherness.
“We are deeply grateful to see the residents of Kampung Haji growing more united and full of gratitude. This one-year milestone proves that with collective effort and prayer, insha Allah, this village will continue to develop into a blessed, self-reliant, and widely beneficial community,” he said.
