GAZA – Amid the ruins of buildings that no longer hold their shape, life in Gaza struggles to survive. From fragile emergency tents scattered across dusty grounds, the cries of babies often pierce the silence. These are not just cries for comfort but desperate signals of hunger. In the heart of a prolonged humanitarian crisis, even the most basic needs have become a luxury — especially for infants, whose nutritional needs are critical from the very first days of life.
On Sunday (2 November 2025), DT Peduli once again broke through the barriers of crisis to deliver Baby Nutritional Supplements to hundreds of families in Deir Al-Balah. In a situation where food supplies are scarce, healthcare systems are collapsing, and infant formula has been unavailable for more than two years, this assistance brought a glimmer of hope — especially for families in Central Gaza.
“During the window of access that briefly opened amid the ceasefire, DT Peduli made every effort to deliver formula milk to meet the nutritional needs of toddlers in Gaza,” said F. Arif, Assistant Manager for International Humanitarian Affairs at LPM DT Peduli.
DT Peduli volunteers stationed in Gaza ensured that the aid reached families most in need. More than 200 cans of formula milk were delivered to Al-Mustafa Camp in South Nuseirat, where thousands of displaced families are sheltering.
“With the generous donation from DT Peduli Foundation, we will distribute the milk to children living in displacement camps,” said one of the local volunteers. He added that the shortage of infant formula has been a serious issue ever since the conflict intensified over the past two years.
Among the beneficiaries, the gratitude was heartfelt. One father held tightly to a newly received can of baby formula and said, “We thank DT Peduli for its efforts and support for our children.”
Another father added, “Thank you for this milk and all the good efforts that have been made.”
Hope was most visible in the eyes of a mother holding her baby close. Though her face was weary, her eyes sparkled—relieved that, for now, her child’s hunger could be eased.
“May Allah reward your kindness. May He grant you health and ease your difficulties,” she whispered.
This nutritional support was not just about feeding babies — it was about restoring a smile that had been missing in Gaza for months. It was about protecting childhood, preserving hope, and nurturing the future.
DT Peduli continues to call on the global community to strengthen solidarity and compassion — because in Gaza, every act of kindness helps save lives.
“This initiative is one of the ways DT Peduli strives to indirectly protect the future of the young guardians of Al-Quds — the first qibla of the Muslim Ummah,” Arif concluded.
