PADANG – DT Peduli West Sumatra demonstrated its commitment to supporting disaster-affected communities by opening a Community Kitchen in the Lambung Bukit area of Padang City on Saturday (30 November 2025) at 17:00 WIB.
The initiative was launched as a rapid response effort to ensure that residents’ food needs are fulfilled during the emergency.
The community kitchen is located in Lambung Bukit Village, Pauh District—one of the significantly affected areas requiring immediate support. A team of volunteers was deployed to prepare warm meals, distribute them, and ensure that assistance reached the most vulnerable households fairly and properly.
Rizik, a DT Peduli volunteer, expressed his hope for the smooth implementation of the program.
“Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alhamdulillah, DT Peduli West Sumatra has opened a community kitchen in Lambung Bukit, Padang City. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala bless and ease the implementation of this activity,” he said.
Through this initiative, DT Peduli hopes that the presence of the community kitchen will serve as a symbol of solidarity and affirm its commitment to continuing similar programs in other locations in need on an ongoing basis.
