JAMBI – In the spirit of sharing joy on Eid al-Adha 1446 H, DT Peduli Jambi once again held the Qurban Peduli Negeri (QPN) program. This year’s qurban was carried out in one of the settlements of the Suku Anak Dalam (Indigenous Forest Tribe) located in Dusun Tenggalung, Pinang Tinggi Village, Bahar Utara District, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. The program aimed to reach communities that rarely receive qurban meat or are often left out of such charitable distributions.

A total of 2 cows and 11 goats were slaughtered and distributed to the Suku Anak Dalam community, benefiting 105 households on Saturday, June 7, 2025. The slaughter and distribution process went smoothly and solemnly, warmly welcomed by the residents of the Tenggalung settlement.

The Head of the Qurban Committee for DT Peduli Jambi stated that this activity was a reflection of the organization’s commitment to ensuring the blessings of qurban reach underserved and marginalized communities, especially those who live in isolation and poverty. He emphasized that while urban areas often receive abundant qurban distributions, there are still many remote places where people have never experienced such blessings.

The local community received the initiative with immense gratitude. Many of them shared that it was the first time they had received a generous amount of qurban meat for their entire family.

“With this qurban program from the team, we are truly happy. We were able to gather the community and assist in the qurban activities. Our people finally had the chance to eat qurban meat. Since we first settled here, we’ve never had a qurban event or received meat like this. This is the first time. We thank all of you deeply for caring for us, teaching us, and helping us—especially the Suku Anak Dalam community of Dusun Tenggalung,” said Sadi, the Traditional Leader of the Tenggalung community.

The QPN program was not only a moment of giving but also an opportunity to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and introduce Islamic values to this indigenous group who have long lived in isolation. DT Peduli Jambi hopes this initiative will continue and expand to reach more remote communities in the future.
