SURABAYA — In an effort to promote health awareness among sanitation workers, PT Paragon collaborated with DT Peduli East Java to hold a social event titled “Paragonian in Action: Caring for Sanitation Workers’ Health” at Rumah Gadang Gebu Minang, Surabaya, on Saturday (October 26, 2025).
The event was attended by 100 sanitation workers from the Gayungan District, along with 100 PT Paragon (Paragonian) employees and healthcare partners from RSIA Soerya. Participants received free medical check-ups, including blood glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid tests, as well as doctor consultations.
In addition to medical services, the program also included activities such as repainting garbage carts, distributing food aid packages, and providing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as rubber boots and gloves.
Galih Pringgodigdo, Branch Controller of PT Parama Global Inspira (Paragoncorp) DC Surabaya, expressed his appreciation for this meaningful collaboration.
“We would like to thank DT Peduli East Java for being such a great partner. This initiative aligns with our vision to create positive impact — not only for our employees and partners but also for the surrounding community,” said Galih.
The presence of PT Paragon staff added enthusiasm to the event, as they actively participated in repainting and providing assistance to the beneficiaries.
Bangbang, Representative Office Manager of DT Peduli East Java, explained that the initiative originated from an assessment conducted on sanitation workers in the Gayungan area.
“Almost all of them had never undergone even a basic health check-up. That’s why we took the initiative to provide free medical check-ups for them,” he explained.
Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries, Catur, expressed joy and gratitude while receiving the free health services from PT Paragon and DT Peduli East Java.
“Thank you, PT Paragon and DT Peduli East Java, for your care and assistance. May you continue to grow and bring more benefits to others,” he said with a smile.
