BOGOR — Nutrition students from IPB University, currently undertaking their fieldwork in Kedung Waringin Village, Bogor, conducted an educational session on the importance of consuming diverse, nutritious, balanced, and safe (B2SA) foods. The activity was attended by 18 beneficiaries of DT Peduli Bogor’s stunting prevention program on Tuesday (9 September 2025).
Held at the Kedung Waringin Village Hall, the event reflected a strong collaboration between academia, government, and social institutions in addressing the issue of child stunting.
The session was also attended by representatives from the Bogor City Baperida, Yayuk Farida Baliawati (supervising lecturer from IPB University), and Luluk, Secretary of Kedung Waringin Village.
In addition to the B2SA education session, the continuation of the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) was carried out. Nutritious meals are being distributed daily for three months to children under five identified as stunted. By the third week of the program’s implementation, significant improvements in weight and height had already been observed among several beneficiaries.
“My husband works as a daily labourer, and even providing food for the family is difficult. This program has greatly supported my child’s growth and development. Thank you, DT Peduli, PT Paragon, and all the donors.” — Santi, beneficiary’s mother
“Alhamdulillah, this program has brought real change. We’ve already seen a decrease in the number of stunting cases in Kedung Waringin. We hope for a continuation so that children’s growth charts can keep improving.” — Yanti, local cadre
The program is expected to serve as a model of effective collaboration in accelerating stunting reduction, not only in Kedung Waringin but also across other regions.
