Preventing Disease and Improving Quality: DT Peduli Serang Conducts Sheep Health Check and Vaccination in Cikeusik Empowerment Village

October 11, 2025 | By Astri Anggraeni

CIKEUSIK — Continuing its commitment to community economic empowerment through sustainable livestock programs, DT Peduli Serang carried out a routine health check and vaccination (vitamin) for sheep in the Cikeusik Empowerment Village on Friday (10 October 2025).

This activity is part of the ongoing “Ternak Unggul” (Superior Livestock) program, designed to improve the quality, productivity, and overall health of livestock owned by local beneficiaries.

The periodic vaccinations aim to prevent disease, strengthen the animals’ immune systems, and accelerate growth.

Epul Saepudin, DT Peduli Serang Program Officer, emphasized that livestock health plays a crucial role in the success of community-based farming initiatives.

“Healthy sheep produce strong offspring, which in turn increases the farmers’ economic well-being,” he explained.

In addition to providing medical treatment, the DT Peduli team also offered continuous education and mentorship for local farmers — teaching them proper pen sanitation, balanced feeding patterns, and early response techniques when animals show signs of illness.

One of the farmers, Mansur, expressed deep gratitude for the support.

“Jazakallah khair to DT Peduli and the donors for entrusting us with this sheep empowerment program. May Allah reward everyone involved with abundant goodness,” he said.

Cikeusik Empowerment Village was chosen for its strong potential in sheep farming development. Through consistent health interventions and farmer assistance, DT Peduli hopes that the Ternak Unggul Program will continue to be a practical and sustainable solution for improving community livelihoods.
