BANDUNG – As part of the 2025 Muharram Orphan Care Program (MPY), DT Peduli once again brought smiles to the faces of orphaned children through the “Belanja Bahagia Yatim” (Joyful Shopping for Orphans) initiative. The event was held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at two locations: the Daarul Hidayah Ikhwan Hall and SMM DT Supermarket, showcasing the organization’s heartfelt commitment to supporting orphans in the Bandung area.
A total of 50 children benefited from the event, including 17 from RW 3 and 6, and 16 from RW 01. They were accompanied by community representatives and were warmly welcomed by Kang Firdaus, Head of the DT Peduli Bandung Service Office, along with event organizers who added to the festive and heartfelt atmosphere.
This initiative is part of the broader MPY campaign aimed at creating meaningful, joyful experiences for orphaned children. During the activity, the children were invited to shop for personal needs at the supermarket, guided by volunteers who provided support, kindness, and companionship. More than just a shopping activity, the event served as a moment of emotional bonding and nurturing happiness among the children.
The entire event ran smoothly, with cheerful and enthusiastic children selecting items they truly needed. The warmth shared between the children and volunteers created a heartwarming scene that touched everyone present.
Kokom, a community representative from RW 03, expressed her appreciation:
“Thank you to DT Peduli for the care and love given to these orphaned and underprivileged children. This is not just about material aid—it’s about making them feel seen, loved, and valued. May DT Peduli continue to grow and be blessed in all its endeavors.”
