SURAKARTA – To mark the grand finale of its Muharram Peduli Yatim 1447 H initiative, the DT Peduli Solo Raya Service Office (KL Solo) held a Joyful Shopping and Donation Day for orphans and underprivileged children on Friday, July 25, 2025, coinciding with the 29th of Muharram. Earlier, on July 13, DT Peduli had also treated 50 children to a screening of the movie “Hayya 3” at CGV Transmart Surakarta.
This latest event brought together 50 orphaned and underprivileged children from across the Greater Solo area, including Boyolali, Karanganyar, Sukoharjo, and Surakarta City. The atmosphere was filled with joy and enthusiasm as the children experienced moments that were truly special and rare for them.
In addition to shopping for school supplies and items of their own choice, the children also enjoyed games and entertainment at the Wonderland play area. Bright smiles lit up the venue as they engaged in playful fun. Each child also received cash assistance, snack boxes, goody bags, meals, and fun prizes prepared by the organizing team.
One of the beneficiaries, Ibnu Fadhil, shared his happiness after participating in the event:
“Alhamdulillah, I’m really happy DT Peduli took us shopping. I got to buy what I needed for school. Thank you, DT Peduli!” said Fadhil with a cheerful smile.
The event served as the closing highlight of a month-long series of activities under the Muharram Peduli Yatim program, designed to show care and compassion to orphans so they can feel the love and support of the community during this sacred month.
DT Peduli Solo Raya expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support from several corporate partners, including Luwes Gentan, JIH Hospital Solo, Brownies Cinta, CV. Visual Karya Utama, BPRS Dana Amanah, BMHI, IRMAS, LAZTA, and many individual donors. The organization hopes that these partnerships continue to grow in blessings and impact.
