PESAWARAN, LAMPUNG – To honor the sacred month of Muharram 1447 H, DT Peduli Lampung collaborated with several partners to host the “Khitanan Barokah” (Blessed Circumcision) program on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
The event, held at Sholawatul Falah Orphanage Hall in Sukajaya Lempasing Village, Teluk Pandan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency, brought together 25 underprivileged orphan boys from Lampung’s coastal areas to receive free circumcision services.
This initiative was made possible through a joint effort with Sholawatul Falah Orphanage Foundation, Jaya Bakery Lampung, Lampung Cerdas, Zio Ice Cream, and other individual donors. The goal was to support families with limited financial means in fulfilling a key religious and health obligation for their sons.
In his opening remarks, Redi Ansah, Head of DT Peduli Lampung Regional Office, expressed heartfelt appreciation:
“Alhamdulillah, today DT Peduli, as a national zakat institution, is grateful to be part of this meaningful Khitanan Barokah program for our children, held at the Sholawatul Falah Orphanage. We pray that the trust placed in us by our donors becomes a source of continued blessings and ongoing reward (amal jariyah) for everyone involved.”
Aswati, a DT Peduli partner and a manager at Sholawatul Falah Orphanage, explained the significance of the location:
“We chose this coastal area based on an assessment showing that most residents work as fishing laborers with unstable incomes. A free circumcision program like this provides real relief for families who cannot afford medical services for their children.”
One of the parents, Akun, whose child received the service, shared his gratitude:
“Thank you to all DT Peduli donors. Because of your generosity, my son was able to be circumcised. May you always be blessed and successful.”
This program was not only a form of health and religious support but also a reflection of DT Peduli’s continuing commitment to uplift underprivileged families, especially in remote and vulnerable communities.
