AMMAN – The airbase was bustling on Wednesday afternoon (20 August 2025). Rows of large red-and-white pallets, marked with the words “From Indonesia to Palestine”, were neatly arranged. Volunteers worked tirelessly, lifting each package of food supplies and double-checking the parachutes that would carry them safely through the skies. Every detail was handled with care, for from thousands of kilometers away, millions of prayers from Indonesians accompany this mission of compassion for their brothers and sisters in Gaza.

Through DT Peduli, the people of Indonesia have once again demonstrated the strength of national solidarity. A total of 2,304 food packages were prepared for direct air delivery to Gaza, Palestine. Each package contains 24 types of food items, designed to support a Palestinian family for three to four weeks.

The initial plan had been to send part of the aid by land. However, after coordination with Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force, it was decided that all packages would be delivered by air—to ensure faster, safer, and more reliable distribution. The airdrops are scheduled in stages from Thursday (28 August 2025) until Tuesday (9 September 2025).

“Alhamdulillah, the aid is ready to depart. The support from the UAE Air Force has been remarkable. The pallets will be dropped over Gaza using parachutes, in shaa Allah, reaching our brothers and sisters safely,” said Muhammad Ihsan, Director of LPM DT Peduli, who personally oversaw preparations at the Jordanian Air Base on Tuesday (19 August 2025) and Wednesday (20 August 2025).

For Ihsan, the moment was more than logistics. He witnessed how volunteers worked tirelessly, preparing each package as though wrapping the compassion of the Indonesian people itself.

“Each pallet can carry between 500 and 1,000 kilograms. Imagine how much this will mean to our brothers and sisters in Gaza, who struggle every day to survive amidst a humanitarian crisis,” he added.

Jajang Nurjaman, President Director of DT Peduli, expressed deep gratitude to all donors who contributed. He described the moment with a mix of pride and emotion, knowing that the trust of the Indonesian people would soon descend from the skies over Gaza. When thousands of packages fall with their parachutes, he said, it is not just food that arrives, but also love, prayers, and solidarity from millions of Indonesian hearts.

“We ask for your prayers and support. May Allah ease this mission and ensure its safe delivery. May He protect our brothers and sisters in Gaza, and may He grant sustenance to all of us so that we can continue to help them. Ameen, ya rabbal alamin,” Jajang concluded.
