AMMAN, JORDAN – Monday (March 10, 2025) was a meaningful day for Palestinian refugees at Sukhnah Camp, located near the Jordan-Palestine border.

Amid difficult conditions and limited access to healthcare facilities, Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli, in collaboration with the One Day One Juz (ODOJ) community, launched a Mobile Clinic to provide free medical services.

Sukhnah Camp is a newly formed refugee settlement resulting from the overflow and separation from other camps. Unfortunately, sanitation facilities in this area remain extremely poor.

“There’s no sanitation yet. That’s why many people are getting sick. The septic tank needs to be emptied once a week,” said Alam Yurid, a DT Peduli volunteer.

On that day, the Mobile Clinic successfully served 100 beneficiaries, most of whom were women and children—groups particularly vulnerable to various illnesses.

According to Dr. Rafif, one of the medical personnel on duty, the most common cases encountered were respiratory infections and allergies due to the poor living environment.

“We treated many women and children. Most of the cases we saw today were respiratory tract infections and allergies. We provided necessary treatments, including antihistamines, antibiotics, and other essential medications,” she explained.

This healthcare aid was provided alongside the distribution of iftar meal packages and Eid gift packages, as part of the Ramadhan Peduli Negeri (RPN) program.

The refugees’ happiness was further amplified by the healthcare services, which have been difficult for them to access.

Given the limited access to hospitals, the Mobile Clinic program has become a lifeline for many refugees.

Samar Tamia, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her gratitude and hope that the program will continue.

“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful for this mobile clinic because hospitals here are far away. We’re truly thankful for this program, especially to the donors from Daarut Tauhiid. Thank you, Indonesia,” she said with emotion.
