LOMBOK – DT Peduli Mataram-NTB Service Office distributed humanitarian aid to Grandpa Sahdan, a resident of Kampung Bunau, Dusun Pepekat Lauk, Batu Nyala Village, Praya Tengah District, Central Lombok, on Tuesday (26 August 2025).
Grandpa Sahdan currently lives alone in poor health. He resides in a small shack made of plywood and scrap wood, roofed with an old banner, and with only bare earth as flooring.
In the past, he earned a living by selling cilok (traditional tapioca snacks) from place to place. However, as his health declined, he could no longer work. Today, he survives only on occasional help from neighbours.
“I am very grateful to the donors of DT Peduli who have given me this support. May Allah reward all those who have given in charity,” said Grandpa Sahdan.
DT Peduli Mataram volunteer Ragil also shared their commitment to continue assisting him.
“In shaa Allah, we are committed to rebuilding his home through DT Peduli’s crowdfunding so that he can live and worship in comfort, without worrying about the rain or the scorching sun,” he said.
