MERAK — PT Jemla Ferry, in collaboration with DT Peduli, organized a social program “Wisata Bahagia” (Happy Voyage) on Saturday (September 27, 2025). The initiative offered 19 foster children a memorable maritime tourism and educational experience, including the rare opportunity to cross the sea by ferry to Batok Kelapa Beach.
The group set off in the morning aboard a PT Jemla Ferry vessel. During the trip, the children participated in a “Room Tour,” where they explored various ship facilities, including passenger cabins, the medical room, and even the ship’s control deck.
Nana Budimilyuni, Director of PT Jemla Ferry, emphasized that the activity was designed to introduce children to the maritime world from an early age. “We hope the children not only enjoy this joyful experience but also learn about sea transportation, which plays a vital role in Indonesia’s economy,” she said.
Cecep Dian Gustiawan, Deputy Marketing Director of DT Peduli, expressed deep appreciation for PT Jemla Ferry’s support. “This collaboration aims to instill social awareness and broaden the children’s understanding of Indonesia’s maritime heritage and natural wealth,” said Cecep.
The highlight of the day took place at Batok Kelapa Beach, where the children enjoyed breathtaking scenery, interactive games, and the warmth of togetherness. Beyond entertainment, the event was rich with educational value on sea transportation and the importance of protecting the marine environment.
