MALANG – In commemorating the Islamic month of Muharram, DT Peduli Malang organized a “Happy Outing” for orphaned children from MI Miftahul Ulum, Batu City. The event occurred on Saturday (July 19, 2025) at the educational tourist destination Batu Love Garden (BALOGA).
The event began at 8:10 AM in the BALOGA prayer area with an opening session and Qur’an recitation by one of the participants, Tania. Following the opening, gift packages were distributed to all the children.
Ainun, a representative from DT Peduli Malang, encouraged the children to pray for the donors who made the outing possible.
“May this activity bring happiness and become a source of ongoing reward (amal jariyah) for our donors,” she said.
The children showed great enthusiasm throughout the day. In addition to enjoying various rides and attractions, they also participated in educational sessions about plants — especially fruits and vegetables. They also had the chance to interact with animals such as camels, horses, and various insects.
Nizar, a teacher at MI Miftahul Ulum who accompanied the students, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to DT Peduli and the donors.
“Thank you to all the donors and DT Peduli for making it possible for our orphaned students to enjoy this educational trip to BALOGA,” he said.
He added that the outing was not only fun but also meaningful for the students.
“This was a joyful and educational experience for our students. In addition to enjoying the rides, they gained new knowledge and unique experiences,” Nizar explained.
The Happy Muharram Outing is part of DT Peduli’s annual Muharram program. This year’s theme, Muharram Care for Orphans: Bring Smiles, Receive Allah’s Help, reflects DT Peduli’s commitment to supporting orphaned children while instilling values of compassion, joy, and togetherness.
