BANDA ACEH – The month of Muharram once again became a moment of blessings for the orphans under the care of DT Peduli Aceh. Through the event titled “Bringing Smiles to Gain Allah’s Help”, a warm and joyful atmosphere filled the Aceh Regional Library Hall, Lamnyong, on Sunday (3 August 2025).
This activity is part of the Muharram Sharing Happiness program, an initiative dedicated to bringing joy to orphans during this blessed month. In Islam, Muharram is known as the month of the orphans, when the community is encouraged to show extra care and kindness to them, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The event began with an inspiring storytelling session highlighting the virtue of loving and caring for orphans. The children listened attentively to each story before enjoying a shared meal together in the garden of HKL Mosque.
Suci, one of the DT Peduli Aceh volunteers, expressed her heartfelt emotions upon seeing the children’s joy.
“The children were so happy playing at Happy Kidz Pango, some didn’t even want to go home,” she said with a wide smile.
Words of gratitude were also conveyed to everyone who supported the event.
“Thank you to all donors and partners who supported this Muharram program. May Allah bless you with health and abundant blessings,” said Balqis, DT Peduli Aceh representative.
Through this event, DT Peduli Aceh hopes to inspire more people to spread kindness and happiness, especially to those in need.
