CIREBON – Through the Paragonation Bergerak: Freedom to Share, Freedom to Thrive program, PT Paragon invited parents of 70 stunted children and 10 pregnant women to pay closer attention to their children’s nutritional needs. The initiative, held in collaboration with DT Peduli Cirebon and Puskesmas Ciperna, took place at the PT Paragon DC Cirebon Building on Friday (17 October 2025) and Thursday (23 October 2025).
As part of the program, Puskesmas Ciperna provided free health checks and educational sessions on child nutrition, complementary feeding (MPASI), and the importance of immunisation for children.
Intan Sholeha, HRDC of PT Paragon Cirebon, explained that this initiative is one of PT Paragon’s CSR programs focusing on maternal and child nutrition and health.
“We realised that there are still many children around us who fall under the stunting category. This is not our first concern regarding nutrition for mothers and children — in 2023, we also ran a similar initiative with a different approach,” said Intan.
She expressed hope that through this program, the participating children would overcome stunting and the mothers would apply the knowledge they gained from the two sessions.
“Hopefully, the children who joined this week and last week will be free from stunting. And for the pregnant mothers here, we hope they now know how to care for their children, understand the right foods for the first 1,000 days of life, and other essential aspects,” she added.
Luqmanul Hakim, Head of DT Peduli Cirebon, stated that the target areas for this program were Ciperna and Sampiran Villages. He noted that the program’s theme, Freedom to Share, Freedom to Thrive, aligns perfectly with its mission — providing nutritional aid packages for children and parents.
“Alhamdulillah, this year we’ve again been entrusted by PT Paragon to run this health initiative. The community was very enthusiastic about the Freedom to Share, Freedom to Thrive program,” said Luqmanul.
In addition to nutrition education, the event also featured religious and psychological sessions. Mothers were encouraged to understand the Islamic perspective of viewing children as a trust (amanah) and learned about effective parenting and healthy communication with children from a psychological point of view.
Rosida, a participant from Sampiran Village, expressed her joy in joining the program.
“I’m very happy because I learned more about my child’s nutrition and the kinds of food my child needs. I also received nutrition packages and had a chance to get a free health check for me and my child,” she said.
Another participant, Tumini, also from Sampiran Village, shared her excitement after receiving various nutritional supplements.
“Today I received PMT food, snacks, fruits, eggs, catfish, vegetables, milk, mung beans, and palm sugar,” she said cheerfully.
Currently pregnant, Tumini expressed deep gratitude for being part of the event.
“Alhamdulillah, I’m so happy and thankful to Allah SWT, especially for my pregnancy. Thank you to PT Paragon for inviting me,” she concluded.
