Floodwaters Persist, DT Peduli and YBM PLN Distribute 100 Food Packages to Affected Residents in Belawan

MEDAN BELAWAN – DT Peduli, in collaboration with YBM PLN, distributed assistance to residents still affected by flooding in the Medan Belawan area. A total of 100 food packages and 100 cash relief envelopes were delivered directly to residents around the PLN Belawan office as a form of social support.

As of Monday (1 December 2025), several homes in the area remain inundated, disrupting daily activities. Although water levels have receded from their peak—previously reaching up to one meter in some houses—many residents still face standing water inside their homes.

Marsiyah, one of the affected residents, showed the conditions she is facing.

“Even now, there’s still water inside the house; it hasn’t fully receded,” she said, pointing to about five centimeters of remaining floodwater.

Through this assistance, DT Peduli and YBM PLN hope to ease the burden of affected families and provide encouragement as they begin recovering from the flooding that struck the area.
