AMMAN, JORDAN – For a moment, the hardship of life was lost in the traumatized eyes. Eyes that have witnessed pain for a long time, whose tears seem to have dried up. The eyes of Palestinian children.

That afternoon, Tuesday (3/12/2025), Palestinian refugee children laughed freely and enthusiastically. Their eyes lit up as they played with Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli volunteers in Zoufah camp.

Alam Yurid and other volunteers invited them to play dragon snakes and soccer, before enjoying the iftar menu that had been prepared.

“Today, we played with the Palestinian children in the Zoufah refugee camp. We played long dragon snakes and soccer. It was their first time playing Dragon Snake, and they were very enthusiastic! While playing, everyone was laughing and running around happily,” said Yurid emotionally.

According to Yurid, these simple moments meant a lot to the Palestinian children who were expelled from their homeland. Everyone was happy, especially when playing soccer.

“When we played soccer, everyone was scrambling. No one was silent, everyone wanted to be involved. Seeing them laughing and excited, I felt happy and emotional. Amid the difficulties they were experiencing, this simple moment felt very meaningful,” he recalls.

She is grateful to be a part of their happiness. For her, these children are life teachers who taught me that happiness can be found in small things, as long as they are together.

DT Peduli distributed hundreds of Eid gifts, iftar packages, and winter aid packages to Palestinian refugees in Shuknah, Zoufah, and Muqabalain Camps on the Jordanian border.

In addition, DT Peduli together with Istiqlal Mosque Japan, and Salman ITB waqf also distributed financial aid for the construction of Bushala Madrasah in Souf Camp, on the Jordanian border.

At the end of the aid distribution trip, DT Peduli distributed 1000 staple food packages, 24 tons of flour, and 300 family tents for Gaza.

All of these aid packages, including iftar packages for Palestinian refugee children, were donated by the people of Indonesia. A sign of love for their Palestinian brothers and sisters who have been suffering for a long time.

“May they always be strong and keep smiling, no matter what happens,” concluded Yurid with hope and prayer.
