ISTANBUL — Majelis Taklim (MT) Annisa Istanbul successfully held a thematic study session titled “Debt and Modern Transactions”, attended by around 30 Indonesian women from the diaspora community in Türkiye, on Wednesday (5 November 2025).

The session was conducted following the conclusion of the Coordination Forum for Ulama and International NGOs. The material was delivered in a simple, practical manner, addressing issues relevant to the diaspora, such as personal loans, the use of financial applications, and emerging contract types for digital transactions.

Raeny, a board member of MT Annisa Istanbul and a representative of DT Peduli Türkiye, expressed her gratitude to the participants for their enthusiasm.

“Alhamdulillah, the mothers shared how happy they were to receive such beneficial knowledge. Their high engagement and questions showed how eager they were to understand proper muamalah practices in accordance with Islamic principles,” she said.

According to Raeny, the study session not only enriched the participants’ understanding of financial ethics but also strengthened the bonds within the Indonesian Muslim community in Istanbul. The event concluded with a shared meal.
