CIREBON, Indonesia — Paguyuban Pasundan, in collaboration with Institut Mahardika and DT Peduli, organised a Basic Accounting Training for 30 underprivileged and orphaned students from Cirebon City and Regency.

The training, held at Institut Mahardika Campus 2 on Saturday (1 November 2025), aimed to equip participants with practical business and accounting skills to prepare them for future employment or entrepreneurship after completing high school.

The session focused on cashier applications for small businesses and MSMEs, covering topics such as Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculation, pricing strategies, product barcode input, and data entry management.

Heri Erlangga, Deputy Chair of the Orphan Empowerment Division at Paguyuban Pasundan, emphasised the importance of accounting skills as a foundation for both career and business development.

“With basic accounting knowledge, students can continue their studies, apply for jobs, or even start their own businesses,” said Heri, adding that Paguyuban Pasundan remains committed to providing similar training programs in the future.
One of the participants, who shared her experience via her Instagram account @vyolaa.30, expressed her excitement about the program.

“At first, I thought accounting training would be really boring — but it turned out to be fun! The materials were delivered in a relaxed but meaningful way. The atmosphere was great, and everyone — the trainers and participants — were super friendly,” she wrote.

The event reflects the shared commitment of Paguyuban Pasundan, Institut Mahardika, and DT Peduli to empower underprivileged and orphaned youth through education and skill-building programs that foster self-reliance and economic resilience.
