BEKASI – DT Peduli Bekasi, in collaboration with DKM Al Istiqomah Epson, officially launched the Joint Business Group (KUBE) program for people with disabilities at the RW 22 Community Hall, Bulak Kapal Permai Housing Complex, Bekasi, on Monday (20 October 2025).
The program provides capital support and business mentoring for seven members of the Griya Kreatifitas Disabilitas Bekasi (GKDB) community to start a culinary business called “Ayam Bakar GKD” (GKD Grilled Chicken).
The KUBE funds were sourced from zakat payroll contributions of PT Epson employees. Head of the DT Peduli Bekasi Service Office, Idul, expressed his gratitude to the donors, saying,
“We sincerely thank all Epson employees. May the zakat they contribute bring blessings and real benefits to those who receive it.”
One of the participants, Deden, representing the GKD members, shared his heartfelt appreciation:
“We feel valued and given a chance to prove that disabilities do not define our limits. We hope this grilled chicken business continues to grow and benefit many people,” he said.
The launch event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and collective prayer, symbolising a meaningful start toward economic independence for the disability community in the Bekasi area.
