BENGKULU — DT Peduli Lubuklinggau Service Office, in collaboration with XLSMART, organized a Digital Literacy and Entrepreneurship Training for persons with disabilities at Mercure Hotel Bengkulu, on Tuesday (7 October 2025).
The program, titled “XLSMART Peduli Disabilitas Berdaya” (XLSMART Cares for Empowered Disabilities), aims to strengthen participants’ skills in using digital technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support their economic independence.
Dozens of participants from various disability communities across Bengkulu and surrounding regions took part in the training. The sessions included hands-on learning on how to use AI tools to create digital marketing content for MSMEs on social media, delivered by digital practitioner Milda Ini.
Desy Sari Dewi, Group Head of XLSMART West Region, emphasized that the program reflects XLSMART’s commitment to building inclusive spaces and providing equal access to digital education and economic opportunities.
Meanwhile, Dede Sugiharto, Deputy Program Director of DT Peduli, highlighted the importance of practical skill development for the participants.
“We want to equip participants with relevant and applicable skills so that they can stand independently, become competitive, and play an active role in both local and national economic growth,” said Dede.
This program is expected to boost the confidence of people with disabilities, enhance their digital entrepreneurship capabilities, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly those related to decent work and reducing inequalities.
