MAKASSAR – DT Peduli South Sulawesi distributed business equipment to the Women’s Joint Business Group (Kelompok Usaha Bersama / KUBE) of Mariso on Wednesday (10 September 2025).
The equipment, purchased directly by KUBE members accompanied by DT Peduli South Sulawesi’s Program Manager, Hasmirah, aims to strengthen the women’s economic independence through catering, bipang, and popcorn businesses.
The tools provided include cooking pots, basins, and stoves—essential items to start and expand their production. Hasmirah highlighted that this initiative aligns with DT Peduli’s vision to foster self-reliance among local communities.
“Economic independence is not only about improving income, but also a means to strengthen faith and deepen our devotion to Allah SWT,” said Hasmirah.
Salma, one of the KUBE members, expressed her gratitude and joy:
“Alhamdulillah, I am truly grateful to Allah and thankful to the donors. May this business become a source of blessed livelihood for our families,” she said.
This program is expected to enhance the economic well-being of the Mariso Women’s KUBE while inspiring other community groups to work together towards empowerment, grounded in halal and faith-driven entrepreneurship.
