MAROS — In an effort to spread blessings and compassion, DT Peduli South Sulawesi distributed food aid packages and financial support to orphans in Zakat Village, Maros Regency, on Friday (31 October 2025).
The event was attended by Zakat Village Administrator Hj. Ramlah, Chairman of BPD, Bonto Matene Abdul Aziz, the DT Peduli South Sulawesi team, and the parents of the beneficiaries.
This initiative aimed to strengthen the empowerment efforts of Zakat Village through collaboration among zakat institutions, local government, and the community. By distributing these aid packages, DT Peduli sought to bring joy to orphaned children in Maros while nurturing a stronger sense of social solidarity within the assisted region.
Head of DT Peduli South Sulawesi Office, Salehudin, explained that Zakat Village serves as a platform for collaboration and collective growth, helping communities achieve independence while drawing closer to Allah SWT.
“The Zakat Village program must be supported by all parties—government, private sectors, and zakat institutions in South Sulawesi. With strong synergy, we can accelerate the creation of self-reliant communities. Most importantly, as our teacher, Aa Gym reminds us, both beneficiaries and donors should grow closer to Allah through this process,” said Salehudin.
Meanwhile, Zakat Village Administrator, Hj. Ramlah expressed heartfelt gratitude for DT Peduli South Sulawesi and the donors who helped bring smiles to the faces of local orphans.
“We sincerely thank DT Peduli and all the donors for their care and generosity. May Allah grant you health, blessings, and the best of rewards,” she said.
