PEKANBARU, INDONESIA — As a form of commitment to supporting the future of young generations, DT Peduli Riau has distributed financial assistance to cover the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) for underprivileged university students on Monday, June 30, 2025.
The distribution took place at the DT Peduli Riau office on Jl. Marsan Sejahtera, Pekanbaru. The aid was granted to a female student from UIN Suska Riau who was facing difficulties in paying her tuition. The recipient had undergone a thorough selection and eligibility assessment conducted by DT Peduli Riau in coordination with her university.
This initiative aims to support students who have strong academic motivation but face economic hardship. DT Peduli Riau continues to encourage the public—especially philanthropists and zakat contributors—to support its programs, particularly in the field of education. All donations are managed with transparency and accountability to ensure they are delivered to the right beneficiaries and provide meaningful impact.
“Education is a vital pillar in breaking the cycle of poverty. Through this support, we hope the student can continue her studies and pursue her dreams,” said Al, Program Manager of DT Peduli Riau.
Zahra, the student recipient, expressed her deep gratitude for the assistance.
“Alhamdulillah, this support means a lot to me. I can now pay my tuition without worrying about the cost. May Allah reward all the donors for their kindness,” she said with emotion.
