GUNUNGKIDUL – DT Peduli Yogyakarta distributed donations raised through crowdfunding to Ellyn, a young girl from Nglumbung Hamlet, Giricahyo Village, Purwosari District, on Thursday (16 October 2025). The donation aims to support Ellyn’s ongoing medical treatment, as she has been battling encephalitis and epilepsy for the past thirteen years.
The funds were handed over directly to Ely Setiyawan, Ellyn’s father, by the DT Peduli Yogyakarta team. The event was also attended by Walidi, Head of Nglumbung Hamlet; Novianto, Program Manager of DT Peduli Yogyakarta; and Fathur, representative of Sahabat Unggul DT Peduli. The atmosphere was deeply emotional and filled with warmth.
“On behalf of the Nglumbung community, we express our gratitude to DT Peduli Yogyakarta and all the donors who have shown care and compassion to Mr Ely’s family. This assistance means a lot and proves that kindness and empathy are still alive in our society,” said Walidi, Head of Nglumbung Hamlet.
Novianto shared his appreciation and hope that the support would bring renewed strength to Ellyn’s family.
“We are here not only to deliver donations but also to extend our prayers and moral support. May this contribution help ease the cost of Ellyn’s treatment and give her family strength throughout the healing journey,” he said.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Ely expressed his heartfelt gratitude to DT Peduli and all the donors.
“I am deeply thankful to DT Peduli and everyone who has helped our daughter. We’ve been striving for years for Ellyn’s recovery, and this assistance truly helps us keep going and maintain our hope,” Ely said tearfully.
DT Peduli Yogyakarta hopes that this act of compassion will continue to inspire others to share kindness and strengthen one another through life’s challenges.
