CIREBON—The DT Peduli Cirebon Service Office, together with the DT Peduli West Java Representative Team, conducted a monitoring and evaluation (monev) of economic empowerment programs in the regions of Cirebon and Majalengka on Tuesday (October 7, 2025).
The activity aimed to identify various challenges faced by beneficiary business groups, both during the mentoring period and after the programs had been implemented. The monitoring covered two Joint Business Groups (KUBE)—KUBE Telur Asin Panunggul in Panunggul Village, Cirebon Regency, and KUBE Tangguh Mandiri in Ligung Village, Majalengka Regency.
The event was attended by the Head of DT Peduli West Java Representative Office, DT Peduli Program Manager, Head of DT Peduli Cirebon Service Office, and the field assistance team.
During the visit, Muchamat Zusuf, Head of DT Peduli West Java Representative Office, emphasized the importance of ensuring the sustainability of economic empowerment programs so their impact extends beyond the initial assistance phase.
“In a zakat-based organization like DT Peduli, the key aspect of economic programs is sustainability. The goal is for beneficiaries who once received support to eventually grow into contributors—even becoming muzaki (zakat givers) capable of helping others,” explained Zusuf.
This vision aligns with the purpose of the monitoring activity—to exchange experiences, strengthen beneficiaries’ capacity, and encourage long-term independence so that the program can continue sustainably.
“I want to express my gratitude to DT Peduli for their collaboration and continuous guidance. May this initiative bring blessings to all of us, Ameen,” said Ari, one of the beneficiary group coordinators.
Meanwhile, Ade Rahmatillah, DT Peduli Program Manager, also highlighted the importance of improving business capacity through innovation and digital marketing.
“In addition to offline sales, we must start maximizing online opportunities through social media. But before that, it’s crucial to ensure business legality and improve product packaging to make it more appealing,” he added.
