SUKABUMI — DT Peduli Sukabumi distributed essential food packages to small-scale farmers in Kampung Tegal Sereh, Caringin Village, Sukabumi Regency, on Wednesday (15 October 2025).
These small-scale farmers typically earn income only once a year — during harvest or livestock sales. To meet daily needs, especially during the dry season, many are forced to rely on loans.
This initiative aims to ease the economic burden of farmers with unstable incomes while helping to maintain household food security during lean seasons.
Bagus Saefullah, Sahabat Unggul of DT Peduli Sukabumi, expressed his hope that this assistance would help lighten the farmers’ financial load and support their families’ economic stability during challenging times.
“This program is a tangible expression of generosity from donors who care deeply about the welfare of small-scale farmers. We want to ensure that they are not left to struggle alone. This aid will continue to be distributed in phases until the harvest period, so their basic needs remain met,” said Bagus Saefullah.
Latif, one of the local farmers, shared his heartfelt gratitude upon receiving the food assistance that will sustain his household as he awaits the next harvest.
“Alhamdulillah, this aid truly helps us. Now we can feel a bit more at ease knowing our kitchen needs are covered while waiting for the next harvest,” said Latif.
