BANJARMASIN — DT Peduli South Kalimantan (Kalsel) distributed assistance through its Mustahik Care Services for Converts program to Johari, a convert facing economic hardship and overdue house rent, on Monday (September 22, 2025). The support was aimed at easing his burden and preventing Johari and his children from losing their home.
Previously, Johari had been asked to vacate his rented house due to unpaid rent. Through this program, DT Peduli Kalsel provided assistance in the form of covering the overdue rent, food packages, and medical expenses for him and his child.
Mr. Johari expressed his deep gratitude: “Alhamdulillah, thanks to the assistance from DT Peduli and the donors, our burden feels much lighter. With the rent payment covered, we can still have a place to live and feel more at ease,” he said. He also expressed hope for his child’s recovery.
The Mustahik Care Services for Converts program is a tangible expression of DT Peduli South Kalimantan’s compassion for new Muslims, ensuring they remain steadfast in their faith while experiencing the warmth of Islamic brotherhood.
