PEKANBARU – DT Peduli Riau, in collaboration with the Campus Da’wah Organization of Pelita Indonesia (LDK-PI), held a gathering and Islamic educational event to commemorate the Mawlid of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The program took place at the Aisyiyah Girls Orphanage in Riau, on Jl. KH. Ahmad Dahlan, Pekanbaru, on Sunday (21/9/2025).
The event, attended by LDK-PI students, DT Peduli volunteers, and 45 orphanage children, has become an annual program of LDK-PI. It serves as a moment of reflection and motivation to emulate the character of the Prophet, while also strengthening bonds of brotherhood and nurturing a spirit of generosity among students.
M. Akhmal Ardiansyah, Chairman of LDK-PI, noted that this was the second collaboration between LDK-PI and DT Peduli Riau, expressing hope for continued partnership.
“We hope this activity brings benefit and new spirit to our friends at the orphanage. Thank you to DT Peduli Riau for the support. May this collaboration continue to grow through more social initiatives,” he said.
The program ran smoothly and joyfully. The children were entertained and enthusiastic as they participated in activities such as a Prophet’s Birthday lecture, film screening, games, and receiving gift packages.
“We are very grateful to LDK Pelita Indonesia and DT Peduli Riau for organizing this event at our orphanage. We pray that the children here can follow the example of the Prophet in their daily lives,” said Siti Nur Hikmah, orphanage administrator.
