JAKARTA — DT Peduli Jakarta, PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, and the South Jakarta Regional Job Training Center (PPKD Jakarta Selatan) have joined forces under the PARADAYA MOVEMENT human resource empowerment program by organizing a Barista Training Program.

This strategic collaboration aims to produce industry-ready professionals who can be absorbed by Jakarta’s rapidly growing coffee shop sector. The intensive training program runs for 30 consecutive days, from December 10, 2025, to January 9, 2026.

The Head of DT Peduli Jakarta Representative Office, Deny Rizky Setiawan, emphasized that the initiative seeks to address workforce qualification gaps in the food and beverage (F&B) sector, particularly for individuals with limited access to formal skills training.

“We ensure that participants not only gain technical skills, but also receive certification and industry networking opportunities, so they are truly prepared to become professional baristas,” Deny stated on Wednesday (December 10, 2025).

The training is conducted at the PPKD South Jakarta Job Training Center, with a curriculum aligned to industry standards and the potential to earn regional competency certification. Training modules include Fundamental Coffee Knowledge, Commercial Espresso Machine Operations and Latte Art, Hygiene and Safety, as well as customer service soft skills.

The Head of the South Jakarta PPKD Representative Office, Budi, expressed hope that program graduates will be quickly absorbed into coffee shops or develop the independence to launch micro-scale barista businesses. He noted that this collaboration serves as an ideal model for creating sustainable and measurable social impact.

“It is expected that after completing the training, participants will be able to secure employment at coffee shops or independently establish micro barista enterprises,” he concluded.
