AL-SHARQIA, EGYPT – Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli continues to show its commitment to humanitarian missions for Palestine. This Ramadan, DT Peduli aims to send 500 tents for families in North Gaza.
On Sunday (16/3/2025), the DT Peduli team was at the family tent factory in Bilbeis, Al-Sharqia, Egypt as part of the preparation for the delivery of 300 tents for Palestinian families in Gaza.
This family tent is specially designed for extreme conditions, has a size of 4×4 meters, with a steel frame, can accommodate 4-6 people, and is designed to be fire resistant, heat resistant, and cold resistant.
This family tent consists of three main layers, namely:
- Outer Layer: Silicone/PU coated ripstop polyester or nylon material, water, wind, UV light, and fire resistant.
- Middle Layer (Insulation): Made of insulating foam, quilted polyester, or thermal reflective aluminum foil to keep the temperature stable day and night.
- Inner Layer: Breathable polyester or cotton fire retardant material, maintaining comfort, air circulation, and moisture inside the tent.
“Hopefully, these family tents will be very useful because, as informed by the fighters, the people of Gaza really need tents. Insha Allah, DT Peduli will send 300 family tents to Gaza and place them in an integrated shelter,” explained Wahyu Prihartono, DT Peduli’s Board of Trustees when visiting the tent-making factory.
The shelter, he continued, will have a well, emergency mosque, solar power plant, kitchen, and public toilets.
“Alhamdulillah, in North Gaza, there are already 200 packages of tents for families that we have sent and are ready to be built,” he said.
Ceasefire Violation Delays Delivery
As the aid packages were being packed for delivery, sorrow once again enveloped the land of Gaza. On Tuesday (3/18/2025) morning, another brutal attack was carried out by Israel. They violated the ceasefire agreement. More than 404 people were killed in this heinous attack.
“Qodarullah, the attackers were field volunteers who were in charge of setting up 200 DT Peduli tents in North Gaza. Please pray for all donors for the martyrdom of 7 technical field volunteers and 2 journalists in the attack,” said Muhammad Ihsan, Director of the DT Peduli Community Service Institute.
As a result, the delivery process was again hampered, including 300 family tents that were about to be sent. The distribution of aid through the Egyptian border was again closed.
“Therefore, the DT Peduli team and aid delivery partners continue to monitor potential solutions, including if it is necessary to send aid through the Jordanian border,” said Ihsan.
In the midst of tense conditions, prayers from all Indonesian people continue to flow. KH Abdullah Gymnastiar (Aa Gym), Supervisor of DT Peduli, invited the entire community to always pray for the Palestinian people.
“Let us all pray for the protection of our brothers and sisters in Palestine, strengthen their faith and hearts, and give victory to the oppressed. May the martyrs have the best place by Your side,” he said.
The sky of Gaza once again bears witness to the injustice that never ends. DT Peduli is determined to keep trying to distribute aid, bringing hope to families who have lost their homes.
