KUNINGAN — In an effort to strengthen community economic independence, DT Peduli Kuningan officially launched its “UMKM Unggul” (Excellent Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) Economic Empowerment Program at the Karangtawang Village Hall on Thursday (30 October 2025).
The program was carried out in collaboration with DT Peduli West Java Regional Office, the Karangtawang Village Government, local PKK cadres, and enthusiastic beneficiaries.
The event began with welcoming remarks from the Karangtawang Village Government and representatives of DT Peduli West Java, followed by a presentation outlining the program’s objectives, an interactive discussion session, and an explanation of the follow-up mentoring plan for beneficiaries.
Through this initiative, participants will receive continuous guidance, including spiritual strengthening, entrepreneurial and management skill development, and social awareness training, aiming to nurture self-reliant entrepreneurs with compassion and community values.
The program also seeks to ensure that zakat funds are utilised productively—not merely for consumptive aid, but as a means of fostering sustainable small business growth rooted in spiritual, skill-based, and social empowerment.
With this approach, DT Peduli reaffirms its commitment to developing economic solutions grounded in the principles of tauhid (oneness of God) and barakah (divine blessing).
Karangtawang Village Head, Jaja Suharja, expressed his appreciation for DT Peduli’s empowerment-based initiative.
“Please safeguard the trust given by DT Peduli. Entrepreneurship is not just about worldly gain—it’s an act of worship. Our elders always reminded us, ‘Guard your faith, guard your faith.’ We are grateful that DT Peduli is here for our community,” said Jaja.
Meanwhile, Ustadz Muchamat Zusuf, Head of DT Peduli West Java Regional Office, emphasized that this program will continue to provide long-term mentoring and capacity building for all participants.
“Participants will be guided spiritually, trained to strengthen their business and management capacities, and encouraged to develop social awareness for broader community benefit,” he explained.
