DT Peduli Jambi Distributes Second Phase of Aid to Fire Victims in Sungai Dualap

JAMBI – In a humanitarian effort reflecting deep concern and solidarity, DT Peduli has distributed the second phase of aid consisting of food staples and canned beef to victims of the devastating fire in Sungai Dualap Village, Kuala Betara District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, Jambi. The disaster destroyed 50 houses and public facilities, leaving 136 people homeless.

The aid distribution took place on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, and was not without its challenges. The DT Peduli volunteer team had to endure a long journey, traveling by land and continuing with a 6-hour riverboat ride from Jambi City to reach the affected location.

The DT Peduli Jambi team delivered the assistance directly to the evacuation site, aiming to alleviate the burden faced by the victims during these difficult post-disaster days.

The Branch Director of DT Peduli Jambi stated that the initiative is part of the organization’s commitment to social responsibility:

“We are here to provide moral support and necessities to our brothers and sisters affected by this tragedy. We hope this aid can be a spark of encouragement for them to start rebuilding their lives.”

Hermanto, the village head of Sungai Dualap, expressed his heartfelt appreciation:

“We thank DT Peduli for visiting our village and seeing firsthand the aftermath of the fire. The food aid provided is truly helpful. May this be counted as a blessed deed and fulfill the urgent needs of our residents. We also hope that DT Peduli’s future activities continue smoothly and more aid can reach our village.”
Affected residents, filled with emotion, also expressed their gratitude for the attention and support. They hope that continued assistance from various stakeholders will help accelerate the recovery and rebuilding process.

DT Peduli Jambi also extended an invitation to the broader public to take part in the ongoing humanitarian mission. The assistance delivered is made possible through the solidarity and generosity of donors from all walks of life.
