LEBAK, BANTEN — A simple yet profound joy radiated from the faces of students and teachers at TPQ Al-Ikhlas, a Qur’anic learning center in Cileles Village, Lebak Regency, Banten, on Thursday (July 17, 2025). Dozens of new copies of the Qur’an and Iqra reading books were distributed to support their Islamic education activities.

This distribution initiative was made possible through the generosity of donors and was channeled via DT Peduli as part of its commitment to supporting religious education, especially in rural areas. The donation was warmly received by Ustadz Cahya Gumilar, head of the TPQ, who expressed deep gratitude for the much-needed assistance.

“We are extremely grateful for this support. These new Qur’ans and Iqra books will greatly help our children learn how to read and better understand the Qur’an,” said Ustadz Cahya.

He also shared that before this, the TPQ had a limited number of Qur’ans, many of which were in poor condition and no longer suitable for daily use.

The children’s excitement was palpable as they received their new Qur’ans and Iqra books. Their innocent faces lit up with joy as they tightly hugged the holy books. The moment served as a heartfelt reminder that happiness doesn’t always come from grand gestures—sometimes, all it takes is sincere attention and meaningful support for those in need.

Epul Saepudin, Program Distribution Officer at DT Peduli Serang, emphasized that this initiative is more than just handing out books. It is a concrete act of care to nurture a strong Qur’anic generation.

“This distribution is part of our effort to revive the spirit of Islamic education in remote communities,” he said.

“We hope similar activities can continue and reach many more Qur’anic learning centers (TPQs) in need across the country.”

“Alhamdulillah, we’ve successfully delivered this Qur’an donation to the beneficiaries as entrusted by our donors. May every verse recited from these Qur’ans become a source of ongoing reward (sadaqah jariyah) for them,” Epul concluded.
